Host an Ally

The Partner Organization Relationship

WHY does my organization need a Public Ally?

Our community is changing. It's needs are changing. Often, our offerings and approaches to community engagement are not. Public Allies is changing the face and practice of leadership in our community. Our nonprofit partner organizations are all being challenged to do more with less and achieve more impact than ever before. Partnering with Public Allies will increase your organization’s ability to:

o Create, improve and expand your services

o Cultivate and appreciate diverse young talent

o Tap into community-based assets and solutions by crossing social boundaries

o Attract and engage new volunteers

o Work more intimately and collaboratively with other community-based organizations

o Develop new tools to evaluate performance and assess programmatic and organizational impact.

The Apprenticeship represents but one part of our nationally recognized leadership model that provides our nonprofit partners with:

o A passionate and talented pool of diverse candidates and coordination of the apprenticeship matching process

o Ongoing personal and professional development opportunities and collaborative support of your apprentice through personalized coaching, structured evaluation and reporting , and 3-way meetings.

o A strong network of organizations and professional relationships to inspire creative alliances.

o Contribution of 20% to 35% of the Ally stipend (depending on site), plus health care, child care and a $5,350 education award – all provided through our affiliation with AmeriCorps.

In return, Partner Organizations provide:
