Creating Welcoming, Inclusive,
and Effective School Communities


Students' Creative Response to Conflict
Experientially-based training in affirmation, communication, cooperation, appreciation of differences, and creative conflict management - the basis for self-management and social management skills so necessary throughout life.

Cooperative Discipline
Teachers and parents learn why children misbehave and how to teach students to solve problems effectively and take personal responsibility for their behavior and decisions. It strengthens the partnership between home and school and improves students’ learning.

Peer Mediation
Students learn to help classmates put their feelings and differences into words, so they can begin to understand each other’s point of view and identify a solution that enables them to manage the conflict constructively.

Peace Camp
A free summer camp for children between the ages of 6 and 12, it is held in various Cincinnati neighborhoods (Walnut Hills, Avondale and Northside) as part of our community outreach and efforts to build peaceful communities.

Student Enrichment Components
Peace Pals: Volunteers read children’s books (with peace and conflict themes) in grades K – 3 and then lead discussions with the students
Peace Club: Extra-curricular club for interested students grades 4 – 6; Led by volunteer
