Shawn Jeffers is Director of Programs for BRIDGES for a Just Community. In this capacity, Shawn is responsible for the JUST Community Youth Leadership Institute, ONE Community, Police/Youth “Live In” and supports the work of Public Allies Cincinnati. Prior to his employment, Shawn served as a volunteer with BRIDGES, active in the JUST Community program and Healing Through History. Before coming to BRIDGES, Shawn was Director of Education at The Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education (CHHE) in Cincinnati, OH. He joined CHHE in 2003 as an ally through Public Allies Cincinnati and continued with the organization after completing his term of service. While at CHHE, he was honored with the Grinspoon-Steinhardt Award for Excellence in Jewish Education and selected as a Research Fellow at the Auschwitz Jewish Center in Oswiecim, Poland. Shawn is a 2003 graduate of Miami University with a BA in Political Science.
