Brandon Black is the youth program coordinator for BRIDGES for a Just Community. Born and raised in Cincinnati, he earned a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in 2005. After graduation, Black began substitute teaching and working for a local educational outreach program, now known as Breakthrough Cincinnati. After learning about the Public Allies program from a friend, he applied and was selected. Brandon was in the 2008-2009 Ally class working with Children, Inc as a Service Learning Coordinator. During his first year as a Public Ally he discovered equity leadership as a BRIDGE Builder volunteer at ONE Community and JUST Community youth leadership institutes. This experience led Brandon to apply for a second year Public Allies fellowship at BRIDGES where he currently serves.
